INSTRUCTIONS - Remove the water reservoir from the espresso machine, empty and clean it thoroughly - Rinse the water softener in fresh water and submerge in water for 10 min - Insert the Water Softener into the end of the inlet pipe in the water tank. Connect to the longer inlet pipe if there are two - Fill the water reservoir with clean tap water and reinsert it into the espresso machine - Turn on the machine and run until the tank is empty, then refill with water - If water does not flow through the hose due to clumped resin beads, remove, shake the filter, and reinstall
